Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: July 15, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of mhetLabs' websites, platforms, and services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by mhetLabs ("mhetLabs," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Who We Are

mhetLabs is a digital engineering and design agency building digital platforms — including websites, dashboards, and payment systems — for institutions, associations, and their members.

2. Eligibility

Our Services are intended for use by students, staff, executives, and members of the institutions and associations we partner with. By using our Services, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to do so, or that you are using the Services with appropriate authorization from your institution or association.

3. Use of Our Services

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when using our Services, including when making payments
  • Use the Services only for their intended, lawful purpose
  • Not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services
  • Not use the Services to transmit harmful, fraudulent, or illegal content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Services for any user found to be in violation of these Terms.

4. Payments

  • a)

All payments made through our platforms (including dues, fees, and event tickets) are processed through licensed, regulated third-party payment processors. mhetLabs does not directly store your card or bank account details.

  • b)

A convenience fee is applied to certain transactions, as disclosed at the point of payment. This fee is separate from, and in addition to, the amount due to the relevant institution or association.

  • c)

Once a payment is successfully processed, it is generally non-refundable, except where required by law, where an error has occurred on our part, or where the relevant institution or association approves a refund.

  • d)

mhetLabs is not responsible for delays or errors caused by third-party payment processors, financial institutions, or incorrect information provided by the user.

5. Institutional Platforms

Where mhetLabs builds and maintains a platform on behalf of an institution or association under a separate agreement, that institution or association is responsible for the accuracy of content it publishes, and for managing access permissions for its own staff or executives, through the tools provided.

6. Intellectual Property

All platforms, designs, code, and systems developed by mhetLabs remain the exclusive intellectual property of mhetLabs, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Institutions and associations are granted a license to use their platform for its intended purpose, for as long as their agreement with mhetLabs remains active. No ownership rights are transferred by use of the Services.

7. Account Responsibility

If you are issued login credentials to access a dashboard or portal, you are responsible for keeping those credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, mhetLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of funds due to third-party processor errors, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to mhetLabs, other users, or third parties.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
